Aloha, Please Join Us in Celebrating the Wedding of Jessica Soares & Jonathan Schutte
Save the Date
Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, O‘ahu, Hawaii
We are overjoyed to be planning our wedding and have decided on a destination that holds a very special place in our hearts. We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone, but we have chosen to have a small, intimate ceremony with a guest list limited to fewer than 50 of our closest family and friends.
We are deeply aware that a trip to Hawaii is a significant commitment for many of our loved ones. If the journey makes it difficult for you to attend, please know that we will be hosting a wonderful reception in the Cayman Islands in early 2027 to celebrate with all of you. Your love and support mean the world to us, regardless of where we celebrate.
Travel & Accommodation
We would be thrilled for you to join us on O‘ahu! Since this is a destination wedding, we encourage you to start planning early. We are excited to share that we have officially selected our venue! Due to availability at the bungalows, we have shifted our wedding window. Please update your calendars accordingly!
Updated Travel Dates: Monday, September 14th – Friday, September 18th, 2026
Extending Your Stay: You are more than welcome to arrive early or extend your trip to explore more of Hawaii! However, please note that you will need to find additional accommodations for any nights outside of the Monday–Friday window.
Airports: The main airport in O‘ahu is Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).
Group Stays & Accommodations: To keep the celebration close, several members of our immediate family and wedding party are reserving large group bungalows directly at our venue. This is a wonderful, immersive way to stay right at the heart of the festivities! We have pre-allocated specific bungalows for different guest groups; keep an eye on your inbox, as we will be sending out emails shortly with details on how you can opt-in to these shared stays.
Other Accommodation Options: Affordable accommodations (hotels and rentals) are also readily available in other areas, such as Waikiki and Ko Olina, though these areas are a longer drive from the wedding venue.
Attire & Packing: Formal cocktail attire is encouraged for the ceremony and reception. For your overall trip, be sure to pack swimsuits, comfortable hiking gear, and casual beach attire. You will need them for the optional excursions and island exploration days.
Getting Around: We strongly recommend renting a car (ideally splitting the cost with your group) to fully explore the island's many sights at your own pace. While Uber and Lyft are available, they can be a more expensive and less reliable option, especially outside of the main resort areas.
In place of a Traditional Registry: We have chosen not to set up a traditional registry as we build our future together, focusing on growing our business, finishing our home, and, of course, planning an unforgettable honeymoon. A contribution toward these goals would be sincerely appreciated.
Keiki Beach Bungalows
Our Venue & Accommodation: Ke Iki Beach Bungalows
We are so excited to announce that we’ve officially confirmed our venue! We’ve chosen the Ke Iki Beach Bungalows on Oahu’s legendary North Shore to serve as our wedding home base.
Located on a hidden stretch of white sand between Shark’s Cove and Waimea Bay, Ke Iki is the definition of "barefoot luxury." It is a collection of historic, newly remodeled bungalows nestled in lush tropical gardens.
The Celebration Space
Our ceremony will take place right on the sand, followed by a reception on the beach deck nearest the wedding party bungalows. It’s an open-air, casual-yet-stunning setting where we can enjoy the North Shore sunset together. #NeverMissASunset
Guest Accommodations
To keep our favorite people close, we have reserved a selection of bungalows on-site for our guests.
Assignments: We have personally assigned guests to specific bungalows to make the most of the space.
Next Steps: Keep an eye on your inbox! We will be sending out individual emails shortly to disclose which bungalow you'll be staying in and provide specific check-in details.
A Few "North Shore" Tips:
Footwear: Since the ceremony is on the sand and the reception is on a wooden deck, we recommend flat sandals, wedges, or just going barefoot!
The Neighborhood: We are a short walk from Shark’s Cove (amazing snorkeling/freediving) and the North Shore Food Trucks.
Groceries: There is a Foodland grocery store within walking distance if you want to stock your bungalow's kitchen with snacks and drinks.
Making the most of Your Trip
What to Expect
To truly experience the island and allow time for rest and exploration, we recommend arriving on Monday, September 14th, and departing on or after Friday, September 18th.
We understand that travel is tiring, so we are keeping the first couple of days light. We want to give everyone a chance to settle in and get comfortable before the festivities begin.
Please use this time to adjust to the timezone, settle into your accommodations, and relax after your journey.
Recommended Arrival → Monday, Sept 14th
Join us on our favorite hikes and excursions around the island, or feel free to use our suggested list of must-see spots (to be provided later) for your own self-guided adventure. Finish the day with a beautiful sunset sail to officially kick off the week. This is a casual mixer to say "Aloha" as you arrive.
Explore the Island Day & Aloha Sunset Sail → Tuesday, Sept 15th
We invite you to join us as the sun dips below the horizon for our sunset ceremony, the moment we officially begin the next chapter of our love story. Following the vows, please stay and celebrate with us at the evening reception, filled with dinner, dancing, and joy, as we become Husband and Wife.
The Big Day → Wednesday, Sept 16th
After the big day, we want nothing more than to spend quality time with our favorite people. Please join us for post-wedding fun and a full day of "aloha" on the property, spending the rest of the day exactly where we belong: on the beach.
This is our chance to share a few more toasts and soak in the North Shore sunshine together before we head off on our honeymoon—no schedules, no heels—just sun, sand, and celebration.
Post-Wedding Beach Day → Thursday, Sept 17th
For those extending their stay, we hope you use this time to explore and find the island as special as we do. Mahalo for celebrating with us!
Enjoy O‘ahu → Friday, Sept 18th - Sunday, Sept 20th
